About the Author:
Mel Gilden is the author of more than thirty middle-grade and young adult books, including My Brother Blubb, Blubb and the Chocolate Treasure, and two Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novels: The Pet and The Cardassian Imps. He has written five novels for adults, including two Star Trek books. In addition, Gilden is a radio personality, and has written and developed cartoons for television. He lives in Los Angeles, California, and still hopes to be an astronaut when he grows up.
