About the Author:
Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (www.chattahoochee.org) is a nonprofit environmental advocacy organization. Established in 1994, it is dedicated solely to protecting the Chattahoochee River, its tributaries, and its watershed. Fred Brown has worked for many years in the publishing, public relations, and travel industries. He is known to many Georgians as the founder of Brown's Guide to Georgia. Sherri M. L. Smith, now Sherri Smith Brown, is editor-in-chief of 20 South magazine. She has written and/or produced numerous television documentaries, including biographies of Carl Sanders, Zell Miller, and Vince Dooley.
