At last here is a book for the whole woman experiencing breast cancer! In On Wings of the Dawn, Sharon Callister's voice speaks for the one out of eight American women diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime and offers all who support her a rare opportunity to vicariously experience the journey themselves. It is also for every woman who fears a future diagnosis and wonders what it would be like to experience this disease. By gaining an understanding of what to expect, fear is tempered with the realization that faith and a positive attitude can enable one to cope with, and even find blessings in, an encounter with breast cancer.
This book goes beyond the physical aspects involved in a breast cancer diagnosis and fills a crucial void--information and support for the spiritual, emotional, mental, and relational dimensions. On Wings of the Dawn is an indispensable gift for women currently experiencing breast cancer and for women concerned about a future diagnosis. It is also for all their supporters, including family, friends, medical staff, clergy, psychologists, counselors, hospital chaplains, and support groups. This book is a valuable resource for breast care centers and organizations, medical and counseling clinics, hospitals, medical schools, and places of worship and religious training.
