Mickey and the Troll is Volume 16 of the Mickey's Young Readers Library. It is an adaptation of the mythical story Mercury and the Woodsman starring Mickey Mouse.
Synopsis:
Mickey comes to a small village in the mountains and stops to have lunch when he overhears an old man and his wife having a worried discussion. When he asks them what's wrong, they explain to him that they have owned a small sheep farm nearby for many years, and they often hired young men from the village to tend the sheep, but for the past ten years, they have been disappearing. Read how Mickey outsmarts the troll who has been bewitching villagers and helps the couple save their farm.
Mickey's Young Readers Library is another series of children's storybooks starring Disney characters. Almost all of the stories star the characters from the Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck cartoons and comics, with two exceptions starring the Winnie the Pooh characters. The books are notably modern adaptations of existing folklore and stories. Each of the storybooks conclude with four pages of activities for young readers.
